Rosetta Stone Review

Rosetta Stone is a very good program for learning Spanish or any other language that the company offers.  I have owned the program for about two years, and I can say with confidence that it is one of the best language-learning systems that I have come across.  There are a few reasons why I think so.

First, the program has a great audio-visual approach that allows you to see, hear and speak the words and phrases that you are learning.  Next, Rosetta Stone offers a great foundation in grammar and lets you learn this naturally.  Third, you get a tremendous amount of vocabulary as you get through the program.

No Rosetta Stone review is complete without mentioning the fantastic audio and video elements of the program.  It comes complete with a headset and microphone so that you can not only hear the words spoken by the instructor as you are trying to learn them, but you can hear your pronunciation of the words as well.  This allows you to compare your pronunciation to the instructor’s and easily correct your problem areas.

Rosetta Stone also uses pictures to accompany spoken words and phrases, which make recall easier than simply trying to memorize vocabulary lists or flash cards.  With the same words and phrases recurring throughout the lessons, you get the chance to learn vocabulary in a natural way as you recognize pictures that are displayed on your screen.

Another thing that should be included in each Rosetta Stone review is the way that grammar is learned.  My experience with the Rosetta Stone Spanish program was that it did a good job of teaching verb conjugations and grammar through practice and comprehension tests.  After being introduced to the uses of the different verb conjugations, the software allowed me to use what I had learned to narrate pictures.  This allowed for good practice with all of the conjugations, and was a good way to internalize the rules of Spanish grammar.

One of the best features of Rosetta Stone was that it offered a huge amount of vocabulary to learn.  This was done well, as new vocabulary is introduced in each lesson, and it builds upon the vocabulary from past lessons.  It is nice to see Rosetta Stone review almost all of the words from the early lessons as you get through the course.  This keeps it fresh in your mind and helps with recall while speaking.

I think that with Rosetta Stone, anyone can learn Spanish, French, Chinese or any other language with ease.  The lessons are not difficult to get through, and you get feedback on your progress and your pronunciation.  The vocabulary is more than enough to keep you constantly learning something new, and you get a good understanding of the language’s grammatical structure and rules.  I hope this Rosetta Stone review has been helpful, and wish you the best of luck learning your new language!  For more Rosetta Stone reviews, click the link below.
